OpticsCompass · Personal check record
Before replacing a blurry spotting scope
Use a safe terrestrial target—not the Sun. Never look at the Sun through unprotected optics. Do not open the body or force a control.
Use this alongside the full guide and your instrument’s manual. It is not a diagnostic certificate.
Repeat a simple baseline
Phone removed → firm support → suitable target beyond minimum focus → lowest power → eye position and focus → let movement settle → change one thing.
